Didn’t believe I’d ever learn to die;
\nForever young, veiled in my toga,
\nMy dreamy eyes I’ve raised to the star

When suddenly you emerged in my way,

\nTo the bottom I drank the drought of death

Doleful I burn alive tortured like Nessus.

\nMay I resurrect luminous from it, like
\nthe Phoenix Bird?<\/p>\n

Perish from my way the bewildering eyes,
\nReturn to my heart, sweet indifference;
