Oh palme delle mani iscritte di segni,<\/p>\n

triangoli, rami, croci, stelle,<\/p>\n

tutta la mia vita ch’\u00e8 stata e sar\u00e0,<\/p>\n

il punto ch’io ignoro della morte e non temo,<\/p>\n

e altri, altri che sembrano di confitti chiodi,<\/p>\n

ma intorno vi raggiano ali di gloria,<\/p>\n

oh palme delle mani vi guardo come specchi,<\/p>\n

cos\u00ec umane e cos\u00ec arcane,<\/p>\n

appannati specchi che la luce pi\u00f9 indora,<\/p>\n

brevi e morbide, e tanto destino inciso,<\/p>\n

immagini d’immensi spazi e musiche,<\/p>\n

e fantasia e follia e solitudine e carit\u00e0,<\/p>\n

linee linee in catena in croce in danza,<\/p>\n

oh palme delle mie mani, scrittura d’astri!<\/p>\n

Palms of hands<\/p>\n

Oh palms of hands with signs inscribed,
\ntriangles, branches, crosses, stars,
\nall my life that has been and will be,
\nthe moment of death that I ignore and I don\u2019t fear,
\nand other, other that look like nailed nails,
\nbut around you they gleam wings of glory,
\noh palms of hands I look at you like in the mirrors,
\nso human and so occult,
\nmisted mirrors so light shines more,
\nshort and soft, and much engraved destiny,
\nimages of immense spaces and music,
\nand fantasies and madness and loneliness and charity,
\nlines lines in chain on the cross in dance,
\noh palms of my hands, writing of stars!<\/p>\n

Oh palme ale mainilor inscrise cu semne
\ntriunghiuri, ramuri, cruci, stele,
\ntoata viata mea care a fost si care va fi,
\nmomentul mortii pe care il ignor si de care nu ma tem
\nsi altele, altele care seamana a cuie batute,
\ndar \u00een jurul vostru sclipesc aripi de slava,
\noh palme ma uit la voi ca in oglinzi,
\natat de umane si atat de oculte,
\noglinzi estompate ca lumina sa straluceasca mai mult
\nscurte si moi, si mult destin gravat,
\nimagini de spatii imense si muzica,
\nsi fantezii si nebunie si singuratate si mila,
\nlinii linii \u00een lant pe crucea \u00een dans,
\no palme ale mainilor, scriitura a stelelor!<\/p>\n
