She wasn’t taller than her doll-house.
\nShe was still writing to Santa Claus.
\nDark curly hair and wide open eyes
\nshe piously kneeled piercing the skies.
\nShe smiled to Heaven and silently said:
\n“With this heart I Thee wed!”.<\/p>\n

She blossomed slowly as a dark Rose,
\nher wild thorns brought bleeding to her many foes.
\nHer pale fingers played with rosaries and ink.
\nShe kept watching the heaven without a blink.
\nShe smiled to the blue Moon and silently said:
\n“With these eyes I Thee wed!”.<\/p>\n

Only once she met the dark Evening Star.
\nHer heart echoed its shine near and far.
\nShe opened her bud, her thorns she killed,
\nwith divine love the dark Rose was filled.
\nShe smiled to Him and silently said:
\n“With this life and love I Thee wed!”.<\/p>\n
