The teacher rises voiceless before a class
\nOf pale, tight-lipped children\/
\nThe blackboard behind him as black as the sky
\nLight-years from the earth.<\/p>\n

It\u00b4s the silence the teacher loves,
\nThe taste of the infinite in it.
\nThe stars like teeth marks on children\u00b4s pencils.

\nStelele – semne de din\u021bi pe creioanele copiilor.
\nAsculta\u021bi-o, spune fericit.<\/p>\n
