V-am spus ca sunt un om periculos
\nSi nu mi-ati luat avertismentu-n seama.
\nV-am spus s-aveti pentru persoana mea
\nUn plus de-ngrijorare si de teama.<\/p>\n

V-am spus ca fac teribil de ur\u00e2t
\nDe sunt calcat putin pe libertate.
\nV-am spus ca sunt osteanul credincios
\nDar care doar cu inamici se bate.<\/p>\n

V-am spus sa va ast\u00e2mparati si voi,
\nCenzori capriciosi ai vremii mele,
\nC-o sa va coste scump maruntul moft,
\nDe a ne face noua zile grele.<\/p>\n

V-am spus sa puneti m\u00e2na sa munciti.
\nSa nu mai tot p\u00e2nditi zelosi din umbra,
\nV-am spus ca n-o sa placa nimanui
\nPornirea voastra, tulbure si sumbra.<\/p>\n

V-am spus ca vremurile s-au schimbat
\nSi ca situatia e mai complexa,
\nNu-i intelectualul – servitor.
\nCultura nu-i ceva ca o anexa.<\/p>\n

Si lumea nu se poate cuceri
\nUmfl\u00e2nd la cifre si mimind tumulturi
\nCu aroganti si trindavi doctoranzi,
\nCu papagali care tin loc de vulturi.<\/p>\n

V-am spus si am puterea sa mai spun
\nCa nu \u00eencape muntele \u00een sera
\nCa prea-i scurt drumul de la rai la iad
\nSi de la caprioara la pantera.<\/p>\n

V-am spus sa nu-l fetisizati pe Marx,
\nSa nu-i pastrati \u00een spirt \u00eenvatatura
\nSi voi \u00eentr-una fara sa-l cititi
\n\u00cel pomeniti p\u00e2na va doare gura.<\/p>\n

V-am spus ca batalia pentru om
\nNu iarta astazi nici o dezertare
\nSi voi v-ati decorat voi \u00eentre voi
\nC\u00e2nd lupta este \u00een desfasurare.<\/p>\n

V-am spus ca muzica nu-i un microb
\nCare ameninta civilizatii
\nE-a omului pentru a fi mai bun,
\nV-am spus: ceva care sa-i placa dati-i.<\/p>\n

V-am spus, concetateni analfabeti,
\nSi luati aminte si sa tineti minte.
\nDar nu stiam ca v-ati nascut si surzi
\nSi scoateti arma c\u00e2nd vedeti cuvinte.<\/p>\n

I told you that I am a dangerous man
\nand you chose to ignore my righteous warning.
\nI told you be more cautious and afraid
\nwhen you speak and my person is concerning.<\/p>\n

I told you that I terribly react
\nif you step on my freedom just a tad.
\nI told you that I am the faithful soldier
\nwho\u2019s fighting only foes, worst kind of lad.<\/p>\n

I told you to calm down and to appease,
\nyou, capricious censors of our age,
\nthat you\u2019ll pay dearly your petty caprice
\nto make our days much tighter than a cage.<\/p>\n

I told you to start working, really work,
\nand not lurk zealously behind our back.
\nI told you that no one will ever like
\nyour dreary tendency, troubled and dark.<\/p>\n

I told you that the time of now has changed
\nand the lay of the land is more complex.
\nThe intellectual is not a servant
\nand culture\u2019s something more than an annex.<\/p>\n

The world cannot be conquered only with
\ninflated figures, phony enthused vox
\nwith arrogant and lazy doctorates,
\nand parakeets replacing eagle-hawks.<\/p>\n

I told you and I have the guts to tell
\nthat in a greenhouse cannot fit the mount,
\nthat is too short the path: Eden to Hell
\nand from the doe to panther in a hunt.<\/p>\n

I told you to not fetishize Marx, and
\nto not preserve his teaching in a jar.
\nBut without reading him, you, on and on,
\nquote him until your tired mouth has scar.<\/p>\n

I told you that the battle for mankind
\nallows not a desertion nowadays,
\nbut you awarded medals to yourselves,
\nwhile the battle goes on many ways.<\/p>\n

I told you music isn\u2019t a disease
\nthat threatens our old civilization.
\nIt\u2019s for the humankind, to make them better,
\nI told you: give it the best of a nation.<\/p>\n

I told you, fellow citizens, illiterates
\nforever to remember and beware!
\nBut I knew not that you were born deaf
\nand fire arms when words are in the air.<\/p>\n
