Trei lacrimi reci de calatoare
\nSi-ai sa ma uiti –
\nCa prea departe
\nSi prea pentru mult timp pornesti!
\nSi-am sa te uit –
\nCa si uitarea e scrisa-n legile-omenesti.<\/p>\n

Cu ochii urmari-vei tarmul, topindu-se ca noru-n zare,
\nSi ochii-ti lacrima-vor poate
\nTrei lacrimi reci de calatoare ;
\nIar eu pe tarm
\nM\u00e2hnit privi-voi vaporu-n repedele-i mers,
\nSi-nteleg\u00e2nd ca mi-esti pierduta,
\nTe-oi pl\u00e2nge-n ritmul unui vers.<\/p>\n

Si versul meu
\nL-o duce poate vreun c\u00e2ntaret p\u00e2na la tine,
\nIar tu –
\nC\u00e2nt\u00e2ndu-l ca si d\u00e2nsul,
\nPl\u00e2ng\u00e2ndu-l, poate, ca si mine –
\nTe vei g\u00e2ndi la adorata \u00een cinstea careia fu scris,
\nSi-uit\u00e2nd ca m-ai uitat,
\nVei smulge din cadrul palidului vis
\n\u00centunecatu-mi chip,
\nCa-n ziua c\u00e2nd te-afunda vaporu-n zare
\nSi c\u00e2nd din ochi lasai sa-ti pice
\nTrei lacrimi reci de calatoare!<\/p>\n

Three cold tears of a traveller
\nAnd you\u2019ll forget me,
\nsince for too far
\nand for too long you\u2019re going to go,
\nand I\u2019ll forget you,
\nsince forgetting
\nis written in the human law.<\/p>\n

Your eyes will follow how the harbour is melting like on heaven shore
\nand your eyes will be crying maybe
\nthree cold tears of a traveller.
\nAnd I, at shore,
\nsad will be watching how the boat sails fast on its course
\nand understanding that I lost you
\nI\u2019ll cry for you a rhythmic verse.<\/p>\n

And my verse
\nwill be found and given to you perhaps by other bard
\nAnd you
\nwill join with him in singing,
\nwith me, in crying in your heart
\nYou\u2019ll try to guess who was the loved one for whom was written the poem
\nForgetting you forgot,
\nyou\u2019ll tear out my shadowed face from the pale dream
\nMy shadowed face,
\nlike in the moment the boat departed from the shore
\nand when your eyes were crying maybe
\nthree cold tears of a traveller.<\/p>\n
