in der Stille des Sturms.
Die Augen, die starr mir erschienen,
beginnen zu sprechen,
und rasch schl\u00e4gt die heimliche Zunge.
Wogen gehn \u00fcber die angespannte Haut
und R\u00f6te befliegt dich,
als l\u00e4gst du im Fieber.
Wie ein Pflug \u00fcber den Acker des K\u00f6rpers,
diesen Leib aus Rinde, Bl\u00e4ttern,
fruchtbarer Krume,
zieht der helle Gedanke.

The face and the twitching hands
are enigmatic
in the silence of the storm.
The eyes, which seemed fixed to me,
