STOISCHER TITAN \/ STOIC TITAN \/ TITAN STOIC \/ STOALAINEN TITAANI<\/p>\n


Wenn ich Atlas besuche, langsam den m\u00e4chtigen Globus dreh –
die Fl\u00e4chen endlos, von Krieg \u00fcberzogen,
Afghanistan, Syrien, Kongo, Mali und Jemen,
die K\u00fcsten von Beben, Wirbelst\u00fcrmen verheert,
die D\u00fcrrezonen des Sahel, wo Hungersnot herrscht,
das Meer von Laugen, Plastikabf\u00e4llen verschmutzt,
die Eisberge schmelzend der Arktis, schrumpfende Gletscher –
dann frage ich mich, ob die Last nicht dem Atlas zu schwer wird:
Es knacken die Knochen, die Haut platzt ihm auf, dem Titanen,
es rasseln die Lungenfl\u00fcgel, doch er steht beharrlich und stoisch,
die Gesichtsz\u00fcge d\u00fcster, versteinert!<\/p>\n

STOIC TITAN<\/p>\n

When I visit Atlas, I slowly turn the mighty globe –
the surfaces endless, covered by war,
Afghanistan, Syria, Congo, Mali and Yemen,
the coasts ravaged by tremors, hurricanes,
the drought zones of the Sahel, where there is famine,
the sea polluted by alkalis, plastic waste ,
the icebergs melting in the arctic, shrinking glaciers –
then I ask myself whether the burden is not getting too heavy for the Atlas:
His bones crack, his skin bursts open for him, the titan,
his lungs rattle, but he stands persistently and stoically,
his facial features gloomy, petrified!<\/p>\n

TITAN STOIC<\/p>\n

C\u00e2nd vizitez Atlas, \u00eentorc \u00eencet globul atotputernic –
suprafe\u021bele nesf\u00e2r\u0219ite, acoperite de r\u0103zboi,
Afganistan, Siria, Congo, Mali \u0219i Yemen,
coastele devastate de tremur\u0103turi, uragane,
zonele de secet\u0103 din Sahel, unde exist\u0103 foamete,
marea este poluat\u0103 de le\u0219ie, de\u0219euri de plastic,
icebergurile care se topesc \u00een Arctica, ghe\u021barii \u00een sc\u0103dere –
apoi m\u0103 \u00eentreb dac\u0103 povara nu devine prea grea pentru Atlas:
Oasele i-au cr\u0103pat, pielea i se crapa, titanul,
pl\u0103m\u00e2nii \u00eei horcaie, dar st\u0103 persistent \u0219i stoic,
tr\u0103s\u0103turile fe\u021bei sumbre, pietrificate!<\/p>\n

Stoalainen titaani<\/p>\n

Kun vierailen Atlaksen luona, hitaasti mahtavaa
palloa py\u00f6rit\u00e4n –
pinnat loputtomat, sodan peitt\u00e4m\u00e4t,
Afganistan, Syyria, Kongo, Mali ja Jemen,
rannikot j\u00e4ristysten, hurrikaanien
tuhoamat,
kuivuuden vaivaama Sahel, miss\u00e4 n\u00e4l\u00e4nh\u00e4t\u00e4
vallitsee,
sulavat arktiset j\u00e4\u00e4vuoret,
kutistuvat j\u00e4\u00e4tik\u00f6t –
silloin kysyn itselt\u00e4ni, eik\u00f6 taakka k\u00e4y
liian raskaaksi Atlakselle:
luut katkeilevat, iho halkeilee
titaanilla,
keuhkot r\u00e4misev\u00e4t, mutta h\u00e4n seisoo
sitke\u00e4sti ja stoalaisen tyynen\u00e4,
kasvot synkkin\u00e4, kivettynein\u00e4!<\/p>\n
