Inca un an, o zi, un ceas –
si drumuri toate s-au retras
de sub picioare, de sub pas.
inca un an si-un vis
si-un somn si-oi fi
pe sub pamanturi
domn al oaselor
ce drepte dorm.

Another year, and day, and hour
and all the roads retreat their power
from under feet and the step’s bower.
Another year, and dream, and kip
and I’ll be King under lands deep
of all the bones in righteous sleep.
